My Gift

I love giving presents and was thinking and cracking my head over what to gift to my participants and clients. Then I remembered, we must always tap on the resources that we have available and so I tap on my sister Yvonne's creativity. After just one day, I received an excited call from her sharing that she's got it!

First, she designed and developed my branding which you saw in the previous post and a name card for me as well incorporating my branding. The effect we would like to achieve is for people to feel happy when they see my card!

Next she proposed a gift that is so very me and highly personalised. She suggested a series of 7 postcards (one for each day of the week) that has pics that I've taken or pics that holds a meaning for me, as well as my own quotes for what makes a happy joyful life.

The result are the following 7 photos (we decided to print them as photos instead) and those of you who are keen to tap into my mind, go with me as we delight in them.

BE ABUNDANT

One evening, I was at St Patrick's Secondary School to give a presentation to a group of parents. As I was walking to the venue for the talk, I saw some straggly plants. Then I looked again cos' among them, I saw this beautiful heart-shaped plant. It affirms my absolute belief that beauty and goodness exist in all circumstances and all surroundings. We just have to look at it or sometimes, we might stumble into it.

BE FLEXIBLE

One morning, I was dreamily strolling towards my boss' home when I saw the tree beautifully framed against the blue sky. Admire. "SNAP". I continued to stroll onwards when I felt a prompt to turn back and look at the tree again. Wow! A beautiful yet totally different frame! That's reminded me that we must always be open to possibilities, to different perspectives cos' truly, that's when we allow awe to come in, to heighten what we already know and not know. Be flexible in our approach to life and in our interaction with others so as to allow greater depth of experiences.

BE HAPPY
The first time I laid eyes on my godson Joshua, my heart lept with joy. He makes me smile. He's now 2 years plus and interacting with him always makes me enjoy the wonderment of being childlike. To be curious, to explore freely and openly. No barriers. No past experiences to stop us from growing into full potential.

BE IMAGINATIVE

I was walking to a dance class when I look up and saw these lovers kissing. Do you see them?
BE LIFE

This picture was taken during one of my morning walks at the reservoir. Gorgeous isn't it? When I was preparing this gift, this picture came to mind. And to me it symbolises and drives home the message that congruency is so very essential for us to fully glow as human beings.

BE REFRESHING

My close friend Fi took this pic while we were on holiday in Sibu. It was just an ordinary action of pulping the lemon slices in our glass of Sprite. Yet when we bothered to take a closer look... Wow, the lemon slices took on a whole new perspective.

Dream Catalyst

This is my new branding that my creative sister Yvonne came up with. She also came up with a very unique gift that is meaningful, personalised and so very me that I've started to gift my participants and clients with. I'll put that up in my next post for your enjoyment.

I've often been affectionately called "teacher" by participants at my workshops, be it for corporate training or my energy work. And lately, I've also been approached by participants at my workshops to be their mentor/ teacher.

While it is is true that I teach and impart knowledge yet I prefer to see myself as a catalyst. My role is to be dream catalyst of change so that people's lives become even better. I see myself more as a catalyst cos' I am absolutely happy and delighted when a "participant" surpasses me in their gifts and they become my "teacher". A teacher is just a label that sometimes cause our egos to arise, thinking we are a level above others. We are not. We're just at a different phase of our lives where we can be a catalyst of change and transformation for some. At the same time, others are also the catalyst of change and transformation for our journey, our growth.

Thank You, My Amazing Participants!

Been wanting to blog about my awesome participants at my two Quatum-Touch workshops that I conducted recently but simply didn't have the time. It's been a crazy hectic month for me, juggling between work projects/ responsibilities (must complete them before my month long hols) and my growing QT clients plus 2 workshops. I'm a happy yet exhausted girl. Well, I have the weekend to catch up on some much needed rest and sleep so that I'll be recharged and refreshed and back to being a CHOG (as one friend affectionately called me) when I land on English soil next Monday.

Now, back to my participants. As you know, I was only planning to do one workshop over the weekend of 20/21 Sept. Yet the abundant universe opened up other opportunities cos' connections were needed for even greater abundance to flow in for all involved!

I've termed the first group as my "Woof Woof" group cos' it all started with an email from Owen, a very nice person who happens to be the owner of Best Friends Doggy & Kitty Salon cum Learning Centre who was interested in learning QT. After several correspondence and having had the pleasure of also chatting with his lovely wife Ivy, they decided to get together a group of their clients/ friends who might be interested in learning QT. Over several quick phone calls (when there's enthusiasm, there's always positive action!), they efficiently organised for me to do a preview for several of their clients who have also become friends. So off I went to their cosy shop at Telok Kurau. The first thing I noticed upon entering the shop was the gorgeous huskies. Wow!! These are all owners of huskies and I could not help but focus my attention on the dogs! Beautiful! The preview was fun and engaging as the group were curious and more importantly, not afraid to ask questions. That evening, a group of them decided to go ahead and explore this new world of energy and we quickly set dates. What's interesting is that I've been wanting to do an evening workshop for a while now, and now, it happened!

The four evenings were amazing... the participants were lively, always putting in 120% participation inspite of a full day of work and personal commitments, had a joyful enjoyment of the whole process, displayed openness to test and test and test, had the courage to ask questions, and most of all, showed so much care and concern to one another. The basis of Quantum-Touch is love and that's an emotion that was clearly evident in the woof woof group!

On a personal note, they were highly affirming and encouraging to me, as their instructor. During the workshop, I discovered new abilities that wouldn't have been possible if not for the fact that they were so sincere in their comments and feedback. During the vortex segment of the workshop, I realised that I could "see" the type of vortex that the participants created for example, a lady had a lovely dancing steams of wind that made her felt so good and alive. Another participant spun his vortex in a horizontal direction instead of vertical. Yet another participant spun his vortex and gathered a sandstorm with it. It was at this woof woof workshop that I had a prompt that one day, I might teach the advanced classes. The woof woof group became a catalyst in my journey of growth and discovery! Several of them are interested in specialising in QT for animals and I absolutely love the idea!! If you're looking for QT therapy or other services for your beloved doggy/ kitty, please contact Owen. You'll know for sure that your doggy and kitty is in good loving hands! As you know, I only recommend people (they are not paying me any referral fees at all to promote them!) that I have absolutely 100% confidence in and more importantly, feel good energetic connection with and vibes emmanting from them.

Now to my second group, the weekend group. When I first set a date for the workshop, I thought it'll just be a small group. Then as the days went by, more calls came in, more people sign up. In total, we had 16 participants and that's absolutely wonderful! I was also over the moon that my good friends got to meet each other finally! They've heard so much about each other from me but their paths never met. Love-ly!

As with the woof woof group, the participants put in their 120%, were willing to be open and ask questions to further enhance their skills and though many of them didn't know each other, they soon open their hearts to one another and seek to do their best to help one another master the techniques and to feel relief as a "client".

On a personal note, this group further affirms my passion for sharing and teaching QT! Having been a trainer for years now, it is easy for me to create a fun and engaging workshop with all the different skills that I possess. Having said that, because we are working with energy, I feel that the instructor's congruency and passion for it has to be clearly evident. We must have a passion for and love energy work. This joy and glow will shine through when both our external and internal matches. Based on the feedback from the participants, this authencity and congruency is something that I strongly exhibit at all my workshops. That's simply cos' energy work is totally aligned with my mission and purpose of being a dream catalyst and totally in sync with my values of love, fun, being light, friendship/ relationships, continuous growth and self-development.

So, a very BIG THANK YOU to all of you who were at my workshops. I believe that there's a reason for us being there and for connecting with one another. Continue to enJOY your journey of discoveries and growth. Breathe, breathe, breathe! Be ALIVE!

Trust in the Process 2

During a Quantum-Touch workshop, one of the segments which most participants even the most open and pro-QT find it challenging to believe or to truly trust in the process is that of distance healing. I must confess, when I first learnt it, I too had my doubts. My first preference was to personally see my client/ friend who I was doing a QT session for. Only if die-die can't be helped, then I will use distance.

But as I learn to trust in the process and my intuition even more and became more aware and accepted my growing abilities, I discovered that gradually I was using more and more of distance QT. And it made perfect sense for my own journey cos' with my current work and personal commitments, it would just not be possible for me to personally travel to and fro to see my clients. With distance sessions, I have greater flexibility and the time. As such, I could accept more clients' engagement and even those from overseas.

Presently, 90% of my clients are for distance sessions. The balance 10% are a mixture of both personal and distance sessions. And that's how I forsee my client base to be like as it grows even more international.

This new development also saw my belief in distance QT deepen to an absolute belief right now. I keep a client's record whereby I list what I did each session eg colour meditation, chakra scanning and balancing, the purpose for it eg to recharge the client's life force and build his/ her energetic core, the insights/ prompts that I receive eg useful for client to stay away from milk and drinks lots of healthy drinks instead eg fruit juice and the client's feedback a day/ days after the session. Because I record down meticulously, I know that the distance works time and time again!

The prompt came for me to write this post as I believe are still QT practitioners who doubt their "distance" abilities and possibilities. If us as practitioners have doubts, for certain, the clients have even more doubts. Because I now trust in the process completely, so does my clients.

My boss commented yesterday when I shared with him that 90% of my clients are distance, he was quite shocked. His reply was that my clients must have absolute faith that it works.

Yes they do!

I will be asking some of my clients to write their stories so that we too can learn from them - to be as open and trusting as them in the process.

Should I say or should I not?

There will be times when you're QTing someone and you get a prompt or message. What if it's negative? Should I share it? Should I not share it? What if I don't? What if I do?

These are questions that will naturally buzz around our heads.

For me, when there is a not so useful message or prompt, I will engage in the following reflection process before deciding to share or not:
  • How would it benefit the client to know? This is important because we, as therapists, may get all excited that we are getting prompts and messages and cannot not share! But seriously, how useful would the message be for the client?
  • What's the client like? Remember that everybody's model of the world is different. That includes personality, need for information, beliefs etc etc. Some may enJOY hearing from you. Some are positive by nature so can positively reframe the news to make it useful for their healing journey. Some have a pessimistic outlook and any negative news just seek to reaffirm their non useful belief that life is blah blah blah, why do I always get such blah blah blah, I know always bad news blah blah blah...
  • Is there a better time for sharing it than now? Maybe there might be other opportunities/ environment to share the insights which would be more conducive. Maybe the Universe would provide other more timely opportunities if it's meant to be shared.
  • Is there a better way of reframing the insights? We can choose to share it as it is. Or what I've find to be more useful is to share it in a way that's useful for the client. Solution focused rather than problem focused.

Let me share a recent experience with you.

I was doing a distance session for a friend who hurt his elbow and wrist. As I was absorbed in the session, I receive an insight/ prompt about his upcoming race this Sunday. Didn't get very good vibes about him participating in the race.

I hesitated to share the information with him because (1) though he asked for the session, there's a part of him that is skeptical, (2) knowing his personality and model of the world, he'll discount what I've shared cos' not based on fact and (3) no matter what, he wants to participate in the race.

So I kept quiet trusting that if it's meant to be shared, the Universe will provide another more conducive and timely opportunity.

Two days after the distance session, I met up with him. He requested for another QT session. As I was QTing him, the prompt came up again and I decided to share it with him. I reframe it and instead of directly saying, "You can't go to the race", I shared with him that his body is really tired and he needs to rest his injury. Then I asked him how will this injury affect his upcoming race. He shared that if the injury is as bad as it is, then he'll probably have no choice but to withdraw from it even though he doesn't want to. Then I shared with him that I get a sense that if he's still not feeling in an optimum state, then participating in the race isn't useful (the word "useful" is so much more useful than "right" or "wrong". It doesn't get people all defensive. No one feels threatened or feel a need to justify which will happen if you say "right"/ "wrong").

I just shared. The decision still lies with him. He is the healer not I.

Practice to grow your abilities 2

I wrote about the four stages of competence, to practice to grow your abilities, to follow and trust in your intuition and abilities and to trust in the process especially when you meet challenging clients.

Just thought I'll share some new discoveries I've made about myself to encourage and affirm those of you who are either new to QT/ healing modalities or are on the cusp of wonderful new/ self-discoveries.

When I first started to dabble occasionally in QT, my skill was at its most basic. More often than not, I believe it's my basic intention of universal love (love is the basis of QT!) that facilitated a shift in my clients. When I fell in love with QT and disciplined myself to practice, that's when I experienced an exponential growth in my skill and abilities. X amount of practice = X amount of growth.

I've to confess that on the onset, I have to discipline myself because I do get bored sitting there for 30 to 40 mins working on my client. For those who know me personally, I see them nodding their heads in agreement for they know that I'm a buzzing doing person. When I got over the tedium of just being, that's when the joy and fun began! I started to explore, to "play", and have fun. Because I've mastered the basic techniques, I was able to then use advance techniques and blend modalities as well.

Because I practice and practice (I do QT daily for myself and others. I also make it a point to move out of my comfort zone and test out different techniques each time.), rid myself of limiting beliefs/ crap and started to follow and trust in my intuition, I allowed the manifestion of my gifts. That's aligned to the insights shared by the UK intuitive lady about QT and me, that "I've such an ability and talent and that I'm a natural at this". Her sharing was a catalyst for my exponential growth cos' I started to trust in my ability even more. Synchronicity and flow at work. Pygmalion effect at work. All good.

One exponential growth is from not being able to even spin my own chakras (yup, they were that blocked at that time!!!) to being able to spin and balance/ clear my chakras to being able to spin my clients' chakras to being able to scan/ balance my clients chakras. Now I can even scan remotely and without having to know how they look like or know them personally. The insights/ prompts/ images from being generalised as in "it's blocked etc" are also getting more precise. For example, when I was scanning a lady (who I just met for the 2nd time socially) and I came to her third eye, I shared that " it appears she prefers not to use it for whatever reason." She clarified and ask if it's not spinning and I shared that it is flowing vibrantly just that she prefers not to use it. I was certain of my exact choice of words. She paused and then shared that yes indeed, she doesn't like to use her third eye cos' it's always accurate.

And last Sat, while I was at my good friends Gabriel and Karen's place, I did a chakra scan for my cute godson. When I came to his 3rd chakra (tummy area), I saw some discordent energetic flow, black spots. So I asked his mum if he has any problems with his tummy. He didn't. Received an sms on Thursday that he came down with tummy upset/ tummy flu. Hmmmm....

So take heart, practice, continue your journey and most importantly, enJOY the journey. Forget about competing with someone else (she/ he can do that, I must do that too!) or berating yourself (why I can't see colours, why I can't spin my chakras, why I so stupid blah blah blah). Energy work stems from positivity. Positivity begins with your own mindset, frame of reference, beliefs and actions.

enJOY!

Wallowing in Abundance

I chanced upon this beautiful surreal sight during one of my morning walks.
I've titled it "Reflected Connectedness"

Been wanting to post but couldn't find the space or frame to write. Do you remember my post on me feeling a positive shift in my reality?

Well, things have been happening at such a fast speed that each day I leap out of bed excited to be thrilled by the abundance it'll bring. I'm constantly grateful, in awe and amazed! Here are few exciting and abundant happenings:
  • An unexpected increase in number of clients who signed on packages and I'm getting queries almost every day on treatments/ sessions.
  • As for my upcoming QT workshop in Sept, I've been getting queries and sign-ups everyday since last week
  • Yesterday, the owner of a training venue (I'm not naming him yet cos' I've not checked with him if he would like to be "publicised".) generously offered me usage of his venue including projector. What this means is that I can now offer better discounts to those who need it and invite people (with financial constraints) to attend for free. I could not do that initially cos' my parents' home is too small to host too big a group.
  • I discovered that I can now scan people's chakras remotely/ distance and I do not even have to know them for eg they can be friends of a friend. My intuitive insights are also getting stronger, even more accurate and precise.
  • I am also achieving amazing results together with my clients (this is important cos' client and therapist work hand in hand to achieve outcomes) and getting even better at what I do.
  • More work projects and opportunities are coming up for my company which is excellent cos' my boss is truly a nice person and I'm happy that we're going to do even better. For me personally, I love new projects and thrive best in a diverse creating environment. :)
  • Even on my personal front, I'm meeting wonderful new people everyday
The reason why I am sharing with you is just to affirm that life does get better. It hasn't always been easy and I've faced my fair share of dark nights of the soul. BUT life gets better when you choose to consciously make it so and work on ridding yourself of non useful limiting beliefs.

My lovely friend Marilyn shared this with me a couple of days ago: "I was just smiling and thinking how the flow is working even better for you as you are accepting and allowing the energy ($) to come to you now, its as if the universe is saying AT LAST! now I'll do even more for you!"

And that's so true! Up till last week, I still had remnants of "feeling bad about charging for my services especially if they're friends". Now that's an issue for me cos' I do consider most people I meet as "friends". If they start out as complete strangers and I start treatment for them, then eventually they become friends too and I feel bad once again charging them for my services. See how this could be non useful for me? Cos' I feel bad to charge, my friends feel bad to ask me for further help and thus they don't get to benefit from my sessions etc.

Then a defining moment came two weeks ago. I was at dinner with a friend when she shared with me about a health concern that she's currently facing. This lovely close friend is QT-trained yet I know that she's so busy with work and caring for others that she probably will not spend the time needed to care for herself. As such, I went with my intuition and flow and asked her to consider getting QT sessions from me weekly (a package of 4 sessions) before she goes for next medical checkup. I must confess, I still felt bad at that point about charging so I told her she can pay small token fee cos' I know she wouldn't agree to free sessions.

My friend was absolutely delighted with the suggestion, it hasn't even occurred to her! What's also wonderful is that she will complement my weekly session with short daily sessions thus a kick start to her practicing QT again. She graciously accepted a discount but not the token fee, reminding me that I have to rid myself of this totally non useful belief or discomfort. I graciously accepted that I needed to change and comfortably embraced the abundance. We're both excited for her to go for her medical check up because we are certain that her results will be excellent!

Two days after that defining moment, another friend called seeking treatments (long term too) and because I was totally comfortable with discussing about fees that's win-win for both, she happily took up the sessions. I realised later that she wouldn't have engaged me otherwise cos' she sees the sessions as a business engagement, payment in return for services rendered.

Three days after that defining moment, another friend called seeking treatments (long term too) and... you know the rest of the story.

Four days after that defining moment, enquires and sign-ups started to come in for my Sept workshop.

My shift in mindset is critical and important in my own journey. Without the shift, my friends cum clients wouldn't have benefitted from my sessions otherwise. The results we're experiencing are amazing. I'm grateful to have experienced this shift.

I am not suggesting that we've to become cash-focused. Rather, to become abundance-focused and to recognise that by that, it also means allowing abundance to flow into your life too and not just others! We can continue to share abundance for example, for my long term clients, I surprise them with gift sessions ie charge them for 3 instead of 4. Or send them extra short booster sessions etc. Or use the abundance to benefit others like that aunty or uncle selling tissue paper.
Abundance for you and others.
