My Gift

I love giving presents and was thinking and cracking my head over what to gift to my participants and clients. Then I remembered, we must always tap on the resources that we have available and so I tap on my sister Yvonne's creativity. After just one day, I received an excited call from her sharing that she's got it!

First, she designed and developed my branding which you saw in the previous post and a name card for me as well incorporating my branding. The effect we would like to achieve is for people to feel happy when they see my card!

Next she proposed a gift that is so very me and highly personalised. She suggested a series of 7 postcards (one for each day of the week) that has pics that I've taken or pics that holds a meaning for me, as well as my own quotes for what makes a happy joyful life.

The result are the following 7 photos (we decided to print them as photos instead) and those of you who are keen to tap into my mind, go with me as we delight in them.

BE ABUNDANT

One evening, I was at St Patrick's Secondary School to give a presentation to a group of parents. As I was walking to the venue for the talk, I saw some straggly plants. Then I looked again cos' among them, I saw this beautiful heart-shaped plant. It affirms my absolute belief that beauty and goodness exist in all circumstances and all surroundings. We just have to look at it or sometimes, we might stumble into it.

BE FLEXIBLE

One morning, I was dreamily strolling towards my boss' home when I saw the tree beautifully framed against the blue sky. Admire. "SNAP". I continued to stroll onwards when I felt a prompt to turn back and look at the tree again. Wow! A beautiful yet totally different frame! That's reminded me that we must always be open to possibilities, to different perspectives cos' truly, that's when we allow awe to come in, to heighten what we already know and not know. Be flexible in our approach to life and in our interaction with others so as to allow greater depth of experiences.

BE HAPPY
The first time I laid eyes on my godson Joshua, my heart lept with joy. He makes me smile. He's now 2 years plus and interacting with him always makes me enjoy the wonderment of being childlike. To be curious, to explore freely and openly. No barriers. No past experiences to stop us from growing into full potential.

BE IMAGINATIVE

I was walking to a dance class when I look up and saw these lovers kissing. Do you see them?
BE LIFE

This picture was taken during one of my morning walks at the reservoir. Gorgeous isn't it? When I was preparing this gift, this picture came to mind. And to me it symbolises and drives home the message that congruency is so very essential for us to fully glow as human beings.

BE REFRESHING

My close friend Fi took this pic while we were on holiday in Sibu. It was just an ordinary action of pulping the lemon slices in our glass of Sprite. Yet when we bothered to take a closer look... Wow, the lemon slices took on a whole new perspective.
