Appreciating Goodness

I just came back from teaching a QT workshop over the weekend in Thailand. As always, the participants are lovely. Even though it was a large group and we needed translation, everything went smoothly. So much loving energies!

As I am writing this, I feel very blessed to be able to enjoy what I do and at the same time, be a Dream Catalyst - to travel , teach and heal. To have the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life with varied experiences.

It is not an easy path but it is so very fulfilling because I am walking my path. In the same way, when you walk your path, you too will feel the joy in spite of the challenges and obstacles that you may face.

Insomnia No More!

I have been suffering from insomnia for more than 10 years. It will usually take me about 2 hours to fall asleep. On some days, 5 hours! It was so bad till I actually wished that there is an On/Off switch to my brain that I can simply switch it off and let my tired body have a good rest.

After attending the Recharged and Energise workshop in May 2012 and understanding from Bernie that it is good to do the Light Visualisation exercise before bedtime, which will only take me 2 minutes to practise, I decided to give it a go.

To my pleasant surprise, I fell asleep very easily within 15 - 20 minutes after the exercise. I thought "Wow! How could it be?!" Thinking that it must have been that I was too tired that night, I decided to test it out for a few more nights. The outcome was and have been very consistent!

Thanks to Bernie for sharing this simple exercise, getting to sleep has become so much easier for me.

These days, I will also visualise the light healing my acne, shoulder and back ache. This "healing" idea came to me since the whole objective of the exercise is to detox.

I would just like to share that it has been effective too. At least, the big acne near my left eye is getting significantly smaller by the days. This is an added bonus for it used to take months for my acne to clear on its own!

Thanks again, Bernie, for your generous sharing!

Love,
Louise Ho

Mirror Mirror on the Wall

Through the years, I have worked on self-esteem issues. To be able to appreciate and love myself fully including my physical self.

Last week, my friend Kar Leong and I met up to do a short video for our I am a Smile Catalyst project. Surprisingly, I was quite uncomfortable throughout the whole process. It was just 2 plus minutes but it sure felt like a long time.

After that, I started to process it through and I realised it was not the filming that made me uncomfortable but looking at my 'crooked face'.

When I was 9 years old, the right side of my face was paralysed. Doctors suspected a burst vessel. I had to go for light therapy sessions once a week for about a year (if I am not mistaken) and for some time, was very conscious that my face was crooked.

After I learnt energy healing, I started to send healing to my face. Over time, it has become more aligned. Except on video, it is more obvious. Or perhaps, it is obvious when I speak to others but I only get to see myself on video so that affects me.

When my cousin (who helped us with the video) emailed it to me, I cringed when I first watched it and was tempted not to post it up. BUT this project is larger than my insecurities and vanity. And this is also a good opportunity for me to let go of this not-useful hang up about my 'crooked face'. The paralysis is an event that happened and I cannot change it. Instead, I am blessed to have overcome it and that is definitely more important than a little misalignment.

I have watched the video a couple more times and definitely, am focused on the happy message rather than on me. enJOY it!

Smile Catalysts, Be One!

I am a SMILE CATALYST project

At a crowded bus stop, this middle aged lady alighted from a bus and she started to run…to pick up a couple of 10 dollar notes on the ground a distance away… then she continued running to catch up with the owner of the notes who was fast disappearing into the crowd. The young lady turned around, received the money with a huge smile and surprise. Amidst the streaming crowd, these two ladies stood chatting –connected in a link of joy.

Smile catalysts do exactly that – put a smile on our faces. It could be someone holding the door open for you, a kind stranger returning you the money you dropped or a friend giving you a helping hand to pull through a challenging time.

Oftentimes, our lives are enriched by their presence and at times, our lives are changed by their presence. And the most wonderful aspect is that there is always a joyous ripple effect. When kindness and goodness touch us, it is natural for us to show it to others as well isn’t it?
Imagine the difference our community would be when there are many of us who consciously choose to be smile catalysts?

This is the mission of “I am a Smile Catalyst Project”, to encourage people to remember and appreciate the smile catalysts in our lives and to know that anyone can be a smile a catalyst.

To kick start the project, we are aiming for 1000 YES by 8 August 2012 and present it as a birthday gift to Singapore on 9 August 2012. To be a smile catalyst, you simply make a decision that you will brighten up someone’s day/ life when and according to what you are able to do.

You can pledge to be a Smile Catalyst by liking the I am a Smile Catalyst facebook page or email us at smilecatalysts@gmail.com with your name.

Share and invite your family and friends to be one too! Together, we create a happier place!
