It's time..

I have had requests from my graduates and clients for a newsletter. It is time and for the past week, I have been in touch with them to obtain suggestions on the type of content that they would find useful. While I enjoy writing, a newsletter would serve its purpose if it is informative and uplifting for the reader. As such, it was important for me to know what would be a purposeful newsletter.

Therefore, I am very appreciative of the time that my clients/ graduates made to provide me with suggestions and ideas. They resonate with the ideas that are buzzing in my head as well, we are off to a great start.

And I like what one of them shared: "The more people who read your newsletter, the better the world becomes."

I will bear this in my heart and mind, a guidance to the flow as I write. :-)

Abundance for one and all

Last Friday, I met up with an FB friend Dennis Ng and he generously offered to help promote my book Fly Free on his website. I enjoyed my chat with him and it is obvious that he is someone who has an abundance mindset. He happily shared valuable advice with me even though it was our first meeting.

In all we do, keeping an abundance mindset, feeling abundant and being abundant allows greater joy to flow into our lives and the lives of others. We remain centred on goodness and love, for self and for others. Infinite abundance for everyone.

When we hold on tightly to our ego and sense of self worth, to fear of competition and our sense that we are not good enough, what follows is pain, self-centredness and a focus on self and only self. Scarcity mentality. That there is finite goodness to be shared so one must grab one's larger share. That we must compete in order to survive and succeed. Living in this sort of world is certainly not a blissful one.

We can begin to cultivate and live with an abundance mindset through (1) awareness and (2) putting it into practice in our daily living. When I first started living this, it was not on auto pilot. Before doing an action or when I felt an emotion, I had to ask myself "am I coming from a place of abundance or scarcity?". Through time and practice, it became easier and became a way of living.

I enjoying living and being in this abundant universe, free from competition and petty emotions. And living in abundance also means attracting a continuous in-flow of goodness.

Abundance for one and all.

Recharge Yourself

"I am so tired", "My body aches", "I feel so stressed", "there's endless work"... common complaints by lots of people. And that is why, it is important and useful for us to find ways to recharge ourselves.

People often mistakenly think that healing sessions are only for those who are ill, in pain or in trouble. Actually, lots of clients who enjoy good health and happy lives know that having recharging sessions once a month to rejuvenate and for maintenance is essential to continued well-being physically, mentally and emotionally.

Besides doing self-healing for myself, I too pamper myself once a month with a recharge session by one of my fellow therapists. Why not? Our well-being is important isn't it?

Managing Grief

My friend Marilyn taught me the difference between sadness and grief. Knowing the difference helped me through some dark moments. And it is helping me now to manage my grief at her passing.

Yes, in my heart I feel joy for where she is now. And I know that it calls for celebration rather than sadness. At the same time, there are moments still when my heart aches at the rawness of the loss. It feels strange that I do not see her when I walk into her room. Almost surreal when I am preparing meals in her kitchen and she is not there to taste them. When I am back in SG, I will have to get used to the absence of emails from her with all her chatty updates. We do love staying in touch and rarely days will go by without an email exchange.

Because I understand that it is important for me to feel joy for her, it helps in managing the grief. And when those raw moments struck, I run energy on my heart chakra to heal and balance it. This keeps me from wallowing or be engulfed in a continuous swirl of sadness and pain.

So yes, my dear friend, I will smile. Like you often say, we are blessed to have learnt tools to enable us to be resourceful and to stay joyful no matter what happens.

Angels

Do you
Hear me calling you
The voice of a mother, a father and a child
Would you recognize the truth
Do you feel a love that's falling from my eyes

Take just a minute
Come and rest you by my side
Let me tell you your own story
Let me walk you through your lives
Only a second
That's all it takes to realize
There's a hundred thousand angels
By your side

Do you
Hear me talk to you
I whisper through the doorways
And pathways of your mind
Clear like the morning dew
And fresh from my journey
Cross an ocean of blue

Take just a minute
Come and rest you by my side
Let me tell you your own story
Let me walk you through your lives
Only a second
That's all it takes to realize

There's a hundred thousand angels by your side
There's a hundred thousand angels by your side

***

My dear friend Marilyn left this physical realm on Monday. In my previous post Keeping Faith, I shared about the healing journey that she had undertaken. How she stayed positive in spite of the negativity of the doctors' diagnosis. How we met a caring and professional medical team at St Georg Klinik in Bad Aibling Germany. How her family and friends rallied together in love.

Kindness, joy and love.

The essence of who she is.
The qualities of the final phase of her earthly journey.
The basis for her journey ahead.
And the legacy that she leaves and lives in her family.

Kindness, joy and love.

That's the energy that emanated from her the first time we met. She had found my contact from the list of certified QT practitioners and emailed me from Scotland on 16 Feb 2007, asking about a healing session when she is in Singapore for a planned holiday.

It was much later when we were friends that I shared with her that she was my first paid client. It was also much later that I realised she had chosen me from the list of practitioners because she felt I can be a friend.

Even from the start, we connected metaphysically as well even though we were miles and miles apart. I was rereading our email exchanges and very soon after we met, I had emailed her saying that her face popped up and so as with always, will follow the guidance. At that time, she was back in Scotland. She emailed back to share that her dad had passed on several days ago.

And whenever she popped over to Singapore, we will meet up and it felt that we knew each other for a very long time. In between the catching up, we stayed in touch through emails. We both enjoy writing and reading letters, so we wrote to each other very often. I did a check a couple of days ago and there is 700+ of emails exchanges between us. :)

In 2008, I visited Scotland for the first time and she warmly welcomed me into her home and her family. That month long hols was my longest ever at that time and it was also life changing. Shortly after the trip, I decided to quit my corporate training job to focus on energy healing full time. M was one of the those who encouraged me to pursue my life's purpose.

Through the days, months and years, we have shared many wonderful memories and exchanged lots of insights. She has witnessed my personal growth as well as that as a healer. She is a friend who accepted me and loved me for who I am - whizzy whazziness and all.

So yes, I do miss her physical presence with me. Yet in the eternal joy of all that is, I know we are still connected.

And so, joy is the theme for the service that will take place next week. No sombre colours or mourning. Instead, it will be a celebration of the extraordinary woman who walked on this world, touching and influencing the lives of those she met. I am blessed to have met her and have her in my life.

Kindness, joy and love.

Keeping Faith

In my blog post Immense Love, I shared about how I ended up in Bad Aibling Germany accompanying my friend who is critically ill. Today's post is related to this experience and the importance of keeping faith.

I am still in Bad Aibling where my friend is still receiving treatments. She is still alive in spite of all the negative prognosis by the doctors back in Aberdeen Scotland. When she was admitted to the hospital there on 9 Feb, the doctors gave her and the family a poor prognosis. They said there was nothing they could do for her condition and that they should consider sending her to a hospice to wait out the rest of her days. They said that she only had days left. Sure, we all knew her condition is critical and understand that the doctors were passing a clinical judgement. It is the manner in which they cold heartedly pass the comments to her and her family. The silver lining was that some of the nurses were so very kind and did their best to be of help.

Thank goodness that my friend had done research previous to the worsening of her condition and so, we were in the know and had information that there is hope. There is expertise available in Germany! That started a flurry of planning and coordination with St Georg Klinik that she has chosen and after looking at her case, they accepted it. Brilliant! Of course the doctors at the Aberdeen hospital kept saying that she will not survive the flight. For us, we will take that chance cos' staying in Aberdeen provided no options.

Then we learn that the company providing us with the medical evacuation decided not to take us. Most likely on the recommendation of the not so nice doctor at the Aberdeen hospital. Not only was he cold and unhelpful, he even tried to prevent us from making the flight by providing his opinion.

Thank goodness that we had other options and we found a company in Germany who was very helpful and within hours of making the connection, we had a jet arriving from Germany with doctor and medic on board to help us make the trip.

On Mon 13 Feb, I was at the private airstrip with my friend's daughter awaiting the arrival of the jet and its team. As it was a medical jet, there was limited seats available and my friend's family had decided that I was the best person to be with her for the flight so that I could do healing for her en route to the hospital. It was an arduous journey for her in her frail condition. When the team arrived, their personalities and energy was such a huge contrast to the negativity that we have experienced so far. They were professionals and yet so very kind!

So we arrived at St Georg Klinik and indeed, such a vast difference. The medical team here has the expertise matched with warmth, care and kindness. They believe in possibilities as well and immediately started a series of treatments for her. The people in this town of Bad Aibling are friendly too, they smile at you and exchange greetings with you on the streets. Very conducive environment for healing to take place.

The doctors in Aberdeen said nothing more could be done for my friend, that she only had days left and that she would not survive the flight. Well, miracle 1 happened and we made the flight. Miracle 2 happened last week with a brilliant surgeon that we met and he resolved the issue that the doctors in Aberdeen said could not be done. It could be done because this surgeon believe in possibilities and made the extra effort to think beyond the box!

Its 13 days since we arrived and the medical team here have been doing a complementary blend of therapies and treatments for her. She has survived beyond the 'death sentence' that was pronounced on her.

It's not the first time I have had the pleasure of witnessing and being part of the experience of people overcoming the 'death sentences' that some docs are so quick to give. And I know there will be many more of such experiences. With a conducive environment and a caring medical team with expertise, it is so much easier for me to do healing for my friend as well.

As long as we have life's breath, there is always hope.

Having a medical diagnosis of what's wrong is useful cos' then we can move on with needed treatments. Never allow the diagnosis to stop you from exploring possibilities for healing. And if your doctor is not caring or encouraging, it would be more useful to find one who is.

In all professions, we will have people who believe in possibilities and who have the expertise matched by a caring heart. May we be blessed to encounter them. And may this group grow in increasing numbers.
